Larry Clayton Ethridge Louisville, Kentucky
Mr. Ethridge received his Bachelor's Degree from Duke University in 1968, and graduated with honors from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1975. Following college, he served as Gunnery Officer aboard the USS Askari (ARL-30) in Vietnam, Cambodia and Japan. He served a one year internship with the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations in Washington, D.C., upon graduation from Law School. Thereafter, Mr. Ethridge joined the staff of the ABA Model Procurement Code Project, where he served for four years as Assistant Project Director for Implementation. He joined the firm of Mosley, Clare & Townes in 1980, and was a partner from 1982 through 1997, practicing in the areas of public and private contracts, construction, administrative, and employment law. His firm merged to form Ackerson, Mosley & Yann, P.S.C., as of January 1, 1998, where he is now a shareholder in Ackerson & Yann, P.S.C. Mr. Ethridge served as Chair of the Model Procurement Code Coordinating Committee from 1985 until he was designated as a Co-Chair of the Steering Committee for the MPC Revision Project, which concluded its work in 2001. He served as Chair of the ABA State and Local Government Law Section (1998-1999), and he is the Kentucky State Chair for the Public Contract Law Section's Region Division. Mr. Ethridge has served as an Editor for all three editions of the Model Procurement Code Annotations, and he has witten numerous articles on state and government procurement for various publications. His governmental work includes service as General Counsel to the Jefferson County Deputy Sheriff Merit Board (1996-Present), the Louisville Firefighters Pension Fund (1997 - Present), and as outside Counsel to the Jefferson County Attorney's Office (1986-Present).
